UK Christmas food prices rise sharply this year
Consumer watchdog Which? has revealed Christmas food costs have surged dramatically, with festive chocolate treats rising up to 72 percent year-on-year and turkeys increasing by as much as £15. Popular items like Lindt chocolate truffles, Terry's Chocolate Orange, and traditional Christmas dinner ingredients have experienced significant price hikes, driven by ongoing grocery inflation which reached 4.7 percent in November 2025. Despite these increases, overall Christmas dinner costs remain relatively stable at around £32, with supermarkets offering various promotional deals to attract customers.
