UK children's lungs grow slower from air pollution
Air pollution is making children's lungs grow slower across the UK, which could mean more health problems later in life. Scientists tracked over 5,000 people born near Bristol from the 1990s, testing their lung function at ages eight, 15, and 24. They found breathing more particle pollution and nitrogen dioxide slows development up to early adulthood.
