UK business loans lowest in almost 30 years
British companies are now receiving much less money from banks, which could impact their ability to expand and invest. Lending to non-financial firms dropped significantly to 59 per cent of UK GDP during the third quarter of 2025. This represents the lowest level recorded since 1998, according to recent research findings.
