UK bases aid US strikes, igniting new political battle

Britain's political parties are divided over the UK's role in the escalating Iran conflict. Reform UK's Nigel Farage ruled out British boots on the ground, calling it a "huge mistake," while backing RAF and Royal Navy support for allies. Green leader Zack Polanski accused Starmer of being unable to stand up to Trump, demanding RAF bases be withdrawn from US use. Shadow Defence Secretary James Cartlidge criticised Labour's "fence-sitting," as the Government confirmed allowing US forces to use UK bases for defensive strikes.
