Drone Strikes Disrupt AWS Data Centres in UAE and Bahrain
Amazon Web Services confirmed that drone strikes damaged multiple data centre facilities in the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain amid escalating regional tensions. Two UAE sites were directly hit, while a nearby strike affected infrastructure in Bahrain. The incidents caused structural damage, power outages and temporary service disruptions for cloud customers. AWS said restoration efforts are ongoing and advised clients to activate backup systems and shift workloads to unaffected regions to minimize operational risks.
