UK officials suggested single market for goods
Closer trade ties for everyday goods between the UK and Europe won't happen yet. Officials from the United Kingdom put forward the creation of a unified market for the exchange of goods with the European Union as an element of a renewed approach to Brexit, yet this proposal was met with doubt by the EU. Michael Ellam, who held the most senior position for European Union relations within the Cabinet Office, tabled this suggestion in Brussels.
