Fourth Reading pupil has meningitis, one died
A meningitis outbreak in Reading has seen a fourth young person contract the infection, with one 17-year-old student already having died. A pupil from Westwood Farm Junior School is now receiving treatment, linked to the same wider social network as three other cases. All confirmed infections are Meningitis B, and close contacts of the four individuals were offered antibiotics.
