Half of Britons want early vote if Burnham becomes PM
Many voters believe a change in prime minister should be followed by a public vote. A YouGov poll found nearly half of Britons think an early general election should be held if Andy Burnham becomes prime minister, while a similar share said he should face a Labour leadership contest before entering Downing Street. Darren Jones has backed Burnham.
