North Korea Just Had an Election Where 99.93% Said Yes and Nobody Had Any Other Choice
North Korean citizens had no genuine choice in recent elections for their national assembly. Candidates from Kim Jong-un's ruling Worker's Party were approved after voters over 17 could only accept or reject a single option, with Kim pledging to make his nation "less backward". His sister, Kim Yo-jong, was promoted to department director within the party's central committee.
