Centenarians' blood shows unique chemical patterns linked to healthy, long lives
Scientists have found a distinct pattern of blood chemicals in people living to 100, which is different from typical ageing. Boston University School of Medicine researchers identified unusually high levels of bile acids and preserved steroid levels in centenarians. These unique 'fingerprints' could help doctors identify people at lower risk of age-related decline and develop new treatments.
