Man Dies in Wrong-Way M6 Crash That Injured Two Others

A man in his fifties driving a Vauxhall Astra died after travelling in the wrong direction on the M6 southbound carriageway near Charnock Richard services in Lancashire on October 26, 2024. Police received reports of the wrong-way vehicle at 9:33pm before receiving collision reports minutes later when the Astra crashed into a Toyota Corolla. Two men in their forties from the Corolla were hospitalised with serious injuries. The M6 was closed for several hours causing severe delays as Lancashire Police investigate the incident.
