Two killed as Russian ship carrying reactors sinks
Two crew members died when a Russian ship, the Ursa Major, exploded and sank 60 miles off Spain's coast. The vessel, possibly carrying components for two submarine nuclear reactors, went down in the Mediterranean on December 23, 2024, after three explosions hit its starboard side. Investigators are examining a 50cm by 50cm hole in its hull, suspecting a torpedo or explosive device.
