US stops three Iranian tankers in Asia
Fuel supplies and shipping routes face further disruption as three Iranian-flagged tankers were redirected from waters near India, Malaysia and Sri Lanka, deepening the strain on global energy flows. On Wednesday, U.S. military forces intercepted the vessels as Washington continued its sea blockade of Iranian trade. The Strait of Hormuz remains shut, affecting about a fifth of the world’s oil and gas shipments.
