Trump Tells Telegraph He May Quit NATO

Europe’s defence guarantee could disappear if the US president follows through on his latest warning. Trump told The Telegraph today that leaving NATO is “beyond reconsideration,” calling the 77-year-old alliance a “paper tiger” after allies refused to join his war on Iran. A 2023 law co-sponsored by his own Secretary of State Marco Rubio requires Congress to approve any withdrawal.
