Trump starts 10% tax after court stops him
President Trump announced a fresh 10% global levy on Friday immediately after the Supreme Court ruled his previous trade policy illegal. The justices decided by a 6-3 vote that the 1977 law used by the White House did not explicitly authorise these import taxes. Although businesses could potentially reclaim billions in paid duties, the President insisted that securing any refunds would require years of legal fighting.
