Trump rejects Iran offer, plans extended port blockade.
Higher oil prices and shipping worries are growing as the US prepares for a longer stand-off with Iran in the Gulf. President Donald Trump told aides to get ready for an extended blockade of Iranian ports instead of restarting bombing or leaving the conflict. The Wall Street Journal said he rejected Iran’s three-step offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz as not enough.
