Trump defends new tariffs on UK, 60 countries over forced labour

Donald Trump has defended new tariffs of 10% and 12.5% on imports from 60 trading partners, including the UK, which started on Friday. The White House claims these countries have not done enough to stop goods made with forced labour from entering their supply chains. The new tariffs replace temporary tariffs that expired after the Supreme Court ruled Trump's earlier import taxes unlawful.
