Trump calls the AI apocalypse a hoax

Donald Trump dismissed warnings about rogue artificial intelligence on Monday, posting that AI destroying humanity is a hoax and claiming a sick conspiracy against data centres benefiting only China. He said he was sufficient guardrail himself, and that his administration had already stopped Anthropic doing potentially bad things. Anthropic's Dario Amodei had published an essay on Saturday urging slower development.
