President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy met at Mar-a-Lago Sunday, expressing confidence that a peace deal to end the Russia-Ukraine war could be near completion. Both leaders indicated 90% of a 20-point peace plan has been agreed upon, with Trump describing negotiations as being closer than ever before. However, territorial disputes remain the primary obstacle, particularly regarding Russia's demands for control of the Donbas region. Trump acknowledged thorny issues persist and cautioned that talks could still break down despite recent progress made by US and Ukrainian negotiators.
