Tracey Emin says famous bed would be tidy today
Dame Tracey Emin told the BBC her controversial 1999 sculpture would look completely different if created currently. The 62-year-old stated the original messy scene would now feature high-quality sheets alongside her two cats. This famous installation, sold for £2.5m, returns to Tate Modern on Friday for a major exhibition. Although she finds the tidy version boring, Emin credits the chaotic original with saving her life.
