Tokyo government encourages men to wear shorts for work

Tokyo's government is pushing company employees to wear shorts to work, among other casual clothes, to help deal with rising summer temperatures. Some women say the policy is unfair as they still need to wear tights if their legs show. The policy has led to a new online term, "sunehara," describing discomfort at seeing male colleagues' leg hair.
