Thinktanks: OBR is backseat driver with old maps

An alliance of thinktanks has urged Rachel Reeves to reform the Office for Budget Responsibility before her spring forecast on Tuesday. They argued the OBR's current framework contributes to instability, underinvestment, and neglects long-term risks. Louisa Dollimore of the Good Growth Foundation stated the OBR obstructs long-term planning and investment with outdated information. The coalition includes Progress and the New Economics Foundation.
