The man who attacked Sam Altman's home has been charged. His alleged motive: 'stop AI'
Daniel Alejandro Moreno-Gama, 20, allegedly told investigators he wanted to 'stop AI' after throwing a Molotov cocktail at Sam Altman's San Francisco home. He faces charges of attempted murder, arson and possession of a destructive device after also threatening to burn down OpenAI's headquarters. A recent NBC poll found AI is now viewed less favourably by Americans than US immigration enforcement.
