Thailand Orders State Staff to Work Remotely
National energy consumption is decreasing due to an ongoing crisis and unpredictable world oil costs, arising from Middle East tensions. Thailand's Cabinet gave a new order for most government bodies to have staff work remotely, beginning March 11, 2026. This aims for a 20 percent rapid energy usage decrease, with civil servants encouraged to set air units at 26–27 degrees Celsius.
