Tesla plans smaller cheaper electric car model
More affordable electric cars could widen access as prices remain high for many buyers. Tesla is developing a new smaller and cheaper electric vehicle, different from its current Model 3 and Model Y, according to sources. The model is expected to be about 4.28 metres long and built first in Shanghai, targeting a price below the current Model 3 range of $34,000 to $37,000.
