Richard Lloyd, the guitarist who co-founded New York punk pioneers Television, has died aged 75. His family said he passed away on Saturday morning at his home in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with his wife Sheila beside him. He had first been diagnosed with bile duct cancer in March. His interlocking guitar work with the late Tom Verlaine defined the band's celebrated 1977 debut album, Marquee Moon.
