Tehran's Azadi indoor arena destroyed in US-Israeli airstrike, state media reports

A 12,000-seat indoor sports arena within Tehran's Azadi Sports Complex was destroyed in a US-Israeli airstrike on Thursday, according to Iranian state and semi-official media. The venue hosted volleyball, basketball and other indoor sports. Iranian news agencies reported all sections of the hall and surrounding buildings were destroyed. Reports suggest authorities had been using some sports venues to shelter military equipment from US and Israeli strikes.
