David Attenborough's 100th birthday sees new species named
Sir David Attenborough's profound influence on understanding the natural world is being celebrated as new species are highlighted. To mark his 100th birthday on 8 May, a selection of fascinating flora and fauna, including a wildflower, is being recognised. Attenborough’s hawkweed, the first living species in the UK named for him, was discovered in 2004.
