Man accused of spying on journalist with sock camera
A Greek man faces accusations of covertly observing an Iranian journalist who resides in London, which has caused apprehension among individuals working in Persian-language media. Ioannis Aidinidis, 46, is said to have journeyed to the United Kingdom on two separate occasions in April and May, documenting addresses and vehicle registration plates for an overseas intelligence agency. Prosecutors claim he even affixed a clandestine camera concealed within a sock during his second visit.
