Sydney: Boy, 12, Dies After Shark Attack in Harbour

Nico Antic, a 12-year-old boy, has died in a Sydney hospital from injuries sustained in a shark attack on January 18. The attack, believed to be by a bull shark, occurred while he was jumping off a rock ledge near Shark Beach at Vaucluse. Friends pulled him from the water, but he suffered severe leg injuries. The incident was one of several shark attacks reported along the New South Wales coast recently. Nico's family, originally from Argentina, described him as a happy and sporty boy.
