Suella Braverman quits Conservatives and defects to Reform UK

Suella Braverman has resigned from the Conservative Party and joined Reform UK, becoming one of the highest-profile defections from the Tories. The former home secretary said the Conservatives had abandoned core promises on immigration, law and order, and national sovereignty. Reform UK leader Nigel Farage welcomed her move as a breakthrough moment.
