US F/A-18 Fires On Iran-Bound Oil Tankers

Shipping tensions around the Gulf of Oman deepened after two empty vessels travelling towards Iran were stopped before reaching port. CENTCOM said an American F/A-18 Super Hornet struck the Iranian-flagged tankers with precision weapons aimed at their smokestacks on Friday.
