South American football body pushes for 64-team World Cup

CONMEBOL, the South American football confederation, is pushing for the 2030 World Cup to have a record 64 teams. Its president, Alejandro Dominguez, said the expansion would ensure "nobody on the planet is left out of the party". However, other football leaders like UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin have called it a "bad idea".
