Snapchat Might Be Fined 6% of Its Revenue Over Child Safety
The EU has opened a formal investigation into whether the app is doing enough to stop adults posing as children to groom and exploit young users. Regulators also flagged the sale of vapes, drugs, and alcohol through the platform and called its age verification 'insufficient.' Snapchat said it is cooperating and has 'additional protections for teens' built in.
