Sisters Reunite After Father Killed Mother 51 Years Ago

Two sisters, Janet Brocklehurst and Theresa Fazzani, reunited in August 2025 after being separated for 51 years. Their father, Malcolm Barnes, murdered their mother, Helen Barnes, in their Newport home on December 27, 1973. Janet, then five, and her younger sisters were adopted and moved to Somerset, while Theresa, seven, was taken in by family. Theresa used a Facebook group to find her sisters in July 2025, after more than half a century of separation.
