Search ends for two missing Devon swimmers

Emergency services have called off the search for two men missing after getting into difficulty during a Christmas Day swim at Budleigh Salterton in Devon. The alarm was raised at 10.25am on December 25 after swimmers encountered dangerous waves and tidal currents. One person was rescued and taken to hospital, while extensive searches involving coastguard teams, RNLI lifeboats, helicopters and police continued until nightfall. The missing men are aged in their 40s and 60s.
