Scotland's green industries create around 100,000 jobs, add £9.1 billion.

Scotland's economy is getting a significant boost from its growing green industries, supporting many roles. Research by the CBI, published in February 2025, states that 100,700 full-time jobs in net-zero related sectors now contribute £9.1 billion to Scotland's economy. Accounting for 4.9% of Scotland's total economic production, this signifies a substantial contribution.
