School ends alumni ties over abuse claims response

Former pupils welcomed St Christopher School's decision to sever links with its alumni group. Headmaster Rich Jones acted after a newsletter from the group's secretary, David Cursons, appeared to dismiss allegations of historical abuse. Reports of alleged abuse, including sexual, emotional and physical types, from the 1960s to the 1990s are being assessed by detectives.
