US pushing Israel to ease Lebanon attacks
US officials worry that ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon could endanger fragile peace talks with Iran. President Donald Trump confirmed Thursday he told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be "more low-key" with attacks, a request echoed by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff. Trump also publicly warned Iran on Truth Social against charging tolls for tankers in the critical Strait of Hormuz.
