Sinkhole stopped Gatwick trains, all clear now
Travellers faced major delays at Gatwick Airport after sinkholes were found near a railway bridge. All train lines between Purley and East Croydon were closed for urgent repairs, with Southern Railway and Gatwick Express services suspended. Engineers worked to plug the sinkholes, and National Rail has confirmed trains are now running normally.
