US drivers won't see $3 gas this year
American motorists should not anticipate gasoline costs quickly falling back to what they were before the war, even if the conflict in Iran concludes. The nationwide average price stands at $4.55 on May 22, an increase of approximately $1.50 since late February when the US and Israel launched an offensive against Iran. Experts say prices won't drop to $3 a gallon for months, possibly years, due to infrastructure and supply chain issues.
