Kemi Badenoch plans changes to bank rules
People and firms could see more investment in the economy if proposed banking rule changes go ahead. Speaking at the CityUK conference, Kemi Badenoch said a future Conservative government would end ring-fencing, replace the Financial Ombudsman Service and seek changes to lender capital requirements. She said the package could add £450bn to the UK economy, while banks currently face a minimum requirement of 13 per cent.
