Ukraine and Russia agree Easter truce for weekend
Ukrainians and frontline soldiers will get a brief relief from fighting as Russia and Ukraine have agreed on an Orthodox Easter truce. Zelensky called for the ceasefire, and Putin ordered troops to halt combat. The truce begins Saturday, 11 April at 16:00 Kyiv time and runs through Easter Sunday, offering a rare pause in the conflict.
