Gatwick loses bid to halt 70% airport slot rule
Travellers and airlines will see the lower airport slot requirement stay in place while a court case continues. On Friday, Mr Justice Chamberlain declined Gatwick Airport’s request to halt the government’s temporary change, which reduced the threshold from 80 per cent as new regulations began. A hearing on interim measures is due on Monday, and Gatwick had proposed limiting its liability to £1m.
