Russia withdraws UK ambassador, accusing Britain of 'confrontation'

Andrey Kelin, Russia's ambassador to the UK for over seven years, left his post last month without a replacement being named. Moscow attributed the diplomatic downgrade to Britain's selection of a confrontational approach towards Russia. The Russian embassy had warned of "consequences" over Britain supplying attack drones to Ukraine.
