Russia daily uses new fast drones Ukraine struggles to intercept
Russian forces used new jet-powered drones every day throughout August, making them much harder for Ukraine's air defences to stop. The upgraded Geran drones are capable of speeds exceeding 300mph, a considerable increase on the velocity of previous versions and Ukrainian interceptor aircraft. Ukraine's military intelligence reported a jump in jet-powered drone attacks, from 350 in June to 2,800 in August.
