Comedian and actor Russell Brand, 51, has been convicted of one rape and three sexual assaults after a four-week trial at Southwark Crown Court. Jurors cleared him of two further rape counts and one attempted indecent assault. The convictions relate to four of the six complainants. The judge warned a lengthy jail term was inevitable and remanded Brand in custody ahead of sentencing on Monday.
