US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has denied claims by Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that Washington is pressuring Kyiv to cede the Donbas region in exchange for security guarantees. Rubio said no such demand was made, stressing the US only conveyed Russia’s position during talks. The disagreement highlights tensions over ongoing peace negotiations, with territorial control remaining a major obstacle to ending the war.
