Deportation now likely for two family members held by US officials. Marco Rubio said he revoked residency permits for Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter, and they were detained by immigration authorities pending removal. He described Afshar as a supporter of Iran’s leadership who praised attacks on Americans, while Qasem Soleimani was killed in a US strike in 2020.
