Rolls Royce gets £599m for mini nuclear plan
Energy supply and jobs could grow with new nuclear development. Rolls-Royce secured up to £599 million from the UK’s national wealth fund to support small modular reactor design and deployment at Wylfa in Wales. The funding, structured as a loan, is expected to create about 1,000 jobs and will be repaid once reactors are built or refinanced.
